Born To Shine
Born to Shine is a program centered on joy, recognition, and being seen.
The program exists to ensure that children growing up in seasons of survival are still celebrated, acknowledged, and valued. It reflects the belief that joy is not a luxury and that moments of recognition matter, especially for children navigating instability.
This program provides birthday support and milestone celebrations for children whose families are navigating hardship or instability.
Born to Shine supports maternal dignity by allowing moms to offer their children meaningful moments of care and celebration, even when resources are limited.
Program Details
Born to Shine is available to moms parenting children from birth through age eighteen.
Moms express interest by completing a brief application indicating their child’s birthday or milestone and current circumstances. Requests are reviewed based on available resources, partnerships, and capacity.
The program operates on a scheduled, capacity-dependent basis rather than an emergency response.
