Why We Tell the Hard Stories
The stories we’re told to keep quiet are often the ones that need to be heard. At AMGTS, we share the truth because real change starts with being seen.
Don’t know where to start? We’ll help you figure it out, from legal support to housing and mental health care. We’ll walk through it with you, step by step.
Diapers. Car seats. Clothing. Or something you didn’t think to ask for. We match donations with real needs and reach out when we find a fit.
Our garden partnership gives moms and kids space to breathe, grow, and reconnect. Nature can hold what the system drops.
We tell the stories others won’t. Our blog is rooted in truth, survival, and change. Watch for our upcoming book, An American Nightmare.
I started AMGTS because I couldn’t find the kind of help that saw the panic, the grief, the fear of losing your kids just because you’re poor or still healing. Every mom we serve reminds me of who I was, and who I’m still becoming. We’re not here to fix anyone. We’re here to walk beside you through what’s real.
Poverty and trauma shouldn’t mean family separation. We help moms stay with their kids and find a path to healing.
When moms are safe and supported, the next generation doesn’t carry the same weight. That cycle ends here.
We build trust-based relationships, not red tape. Moms are supported, not scrutinized.
We’re survivors, not outsiders. We know what it’s like to fall through the cracks and fight our way back.
You don’t have to fix everything. You just have to show up. Whether you donate, host a drive, or join our village, your action matters.
The stories most people don’t want to hear are the ones we need to tell. Our blog is raw, real, and rooted in lived experience.

When you’re in survival mode, support shouldn’t come with hoops or judgment. Here’s what real help can look like- quiet, steady, and honest.
